Confidentiality
Pennsylvania law protects victim comments submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole. This law applies whether you register using a registration brochure, over the phone or through the website. In addition, OVA, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole have policies protecting the privacy of victims who decide to register to receive notification and provide input. These policies strictly limit who has access to victim registration information.
